News Release - A Friendly Gesture
The locally-owned dealership is donating over 30 computers to the Heritage Christian Academy, a private K-12 college preparatory school in Rockwall. The owner of Friendly Chevrolet, Mark Eddins said, “This dealership has been in my family over 34 years, and one of the first things my father taught me when I took over the business was to always look for ways to give back to the community.”

The donation of these state-of –the-art computers will enable HCA to establish an impressive computer lab that will benefit students of all ages. “In order to keep up with the fast-paced world, it is important for us to offer our students the most technically the fast-paced world, it is important for us to offer our students the most technically advanced education possible.” Said Kevin Fields, the Head-Master at HCA, “It’s one strong way we can accomplish our goal to develop Christian Leaders who will succeed in a secular world.”

To that point, Mr. Eddins added, “Beyond helping the students become more computer savvy, I hope donation helps re-enforce the value of charity that they‘re learning about in the Christian portion of their education.”

With such a strong lesson about values in the computer age, one thing is for certain --- the gateway to the future is very bright for the students at HCA.
